Summer Ordeal Registration Available

The Summer Ordeal will be held from 6/4 to 6/6 at Markham Park. The highlight of the weekend will be the Lodge Elections. Register online here.

The cost for Brothers is $25. For Brotherhood Candidates, the cost is $35. Ordeal candidates are $30 and must register using the Ordeal Candidate Registration Form. There will be a $10 late fee for registrations mailed after the close of business on May 28.

There are no refunds or transfers for Lodge activiites.

FourCorps 2010. Section S4 of the Order of the Arrow will work with the US Forest Service on a ground breaking service project in the Ocala National Forest called FourCorps 2010. Continuing the tradition of ArrowCorp5, FourCorps 2010 will be a week of fellowship and service based at LaNoChe Boy Scout Camp near Paisley, Florida.

4Corps is no longer an O.A. only event. If you meet the following requirements you can attend 4Corps:

Are an Active Boy Scout
Are 13 years of age by the time of the event.
And you have earned the rank of 1^st class.

2010 Section Conference

The 2010 Section S-4 Conference will be held at Camp Flying Arrow in Lake Wales, Florida from April 16 - 18, hosted by the Seminole Lodge #85. The theme for the conference is "Pause... and Look Back on Scouting."

The Section Conference is the 3rd largest event in the Southern Region. Approximately 1500 Arrowmn from all over Florida and Southern Georgia will meet for a weekend of fun, fellowship and competition. Come support the Lodge as we seek to regain Best Overall Lodge status.

Lodge Banquet Review

On Friday, March 5th, Arrowmen from around the Lodge gathered at Markham Park for the Annual Lodge Banquet, a weekend of fun, games, and excitement. That night, several brothers sealed their ties in the Order of the Arrow by going through the Brotherhood Ceremony. It was performed by our fantastic O-Shot-Caw Lodge Ceremonies Team. Following that, Hnu-Ra-Con chapter hosted the Brotherhood Bash consisting of throwing cereal blindfolded at a partner whose face was covered in peanut butter, trying to get them on their faces. We were ecstatic to have our Southern Region Chief and National Vice Chief participate in this event.

Scoutmasters Camporee

The Scoutmasters Camporee was a blast! There were tons of things to do there like the Brownsea Island and the rifle ranges, but the O-Shot-Caw lodge put on a master show that was named the OA Indian Village. Everyone was hard at work putting on an excellent village-like exhibit for "Future Arrowmen". There were many stations telling people all about the lodge and the OA. The dance team really stood out the most though. Colby Kudja lead the dance team through a series of dances the amazed the crowd. There were crowds up to 50 people watching them around that little circle! The Drum Team also amazed people. The crowd was so enchanted by the Native American drum songs that they didn't leave until they were done with the last song or later. In all the lodge set up 9 stations around the village. First there was the game section where the "Future Arrowmen" got to play some old Indian games while sitting in a circle. Next around the Village was the teepee. In the teepee the "Future Arrowmen" got to see some Native American items such as quilts and clothes. After that was the Drum and Dance teams. At the Dance team station visitors got to see the different Indian clothes that the team wore during performances and got to see them perform a few different dances.

If you have not paid your dues, you will need to pay those before participating in Lodge or Chapter functions.
