Getting involved in your chapter
The O-Shot-Caw Lodge is broken up into chapters. A chapter is a geographic area within the Lodge with their own meetings, officers and newsletter. If you were to look at our Lodge as a Troop, the chapter would function much like a patrol. In our Lodge, we have ten chapters, one for each district. Those chapters go as far north as Broward County, and as far south as Key West. The chapter is the easiest level to get involved in. They usually have meetings once and month and those meetings tend to be closer than most Lodge functions. At chapter meetings you will receive information about the Lodge and meet brothers from your area. Some chapters have their own committees that maybe you can head up. The key is getting involved. Below is a list of all the chapters, their districts, chiefs, advisors and where they meet. Some chapters are stronger than others, but if you are in a small chapter, do not hesitate. Get involved and the chapter will grow!

Meeting Places/Times -
Elgixin Chapter serves the Lighthouse district. They meet the fourth Monday of each month at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church located at 6012 NW 9 Ct., Margate at 7:30 p.m.
Elgixin means “worthy one”.

Gokhos Chapter serves the Pine Island district. They meet on the second Monday of the month at Plantation United Methodist Church located at 1001 70th Ave., Plantation at 7:30 p.m.
Gokhos is interpreted as “owl”.
- They meet at Elks Lodge, 7190 Davie Road Extension, Hollywood, Florida 33024 at 7:30 PM on the second Monday of the month.
Paldani is interpreted as “bear”.
- They meet the first Monday of each month at Barbara Goleman High School located at 14100 NW 89 Ave.
Pooca-Tooka is the “fireball or rising sun”.
- They meet the first Monday of the month at First United Methodist Church of Coral Gables located at 536 Coral Way, one block west of LeJeune (42 Avenue) on Coral Way (SW 24th street).
O-Shot-Co-Chee is the “little white heron”.

Tomoka Chapter serves the Pioneer district. They meet at American Legion Post 67, located at 1491 West Dixie Highwayon the second Monday of the month at 7:30 p.m.
Tomoka is interpreted as “tomahawk”.

Hnu-Ra-Con Chapter serves the Hurricane district and means “hurricane”. They meet the first Monday of the month at the LDS Kendall Chapel located at 10000 SW 107 Ave at 7:30 p.m.

Nok Su chapter serves the Buccaneer district. They meet at District events and the Nok Su Fellowship.
Nok Su means “gray winged gall,“ probably Calusa. Some translate it as great sea bird.

Allouchset Chapter serves the Calusa district. The chapter meets at the American Legion Post - No. 29 located at 6445 NE 7th Ave on the first Monday of the month.
Allouchset is interpreted as “mighty one”.

To-Hopki-Lagi Chapter serves the Thunderbird district. They meet the first Monday of the month at the Perrine Elementary located at 8851 SW 168 St at 7:30 p.m.
This translates to “place by the river”.
