Exceptional First Year Arrowman Award
The First Year Arrowman Program is a program in the Lodge designed to keep you involved. The program is basically three-fold.
First, shortly after your Ordeal, you will receive a phone call from your Lodge Chief or Vice-Chief. He will invite you to attend our next event and answer any questions you may have.
Then, at each Ordeal and Lodge Banquet, every brother that joined in the past year will have the opportunity to have breakfast with their Lodge Chief and Lodge Advisor. During the First Year Arrowman Breakfast, you will have the opportunity to ask questions, give suggestions and talk with your chief and advisor.
The most appealing aspect of this program is the third part. Every year, the Lodge will award Exceptional First Year Arrowmen Awards to those members that complete the following requirements:
- Attending one Ordeal after their induction
- Attending three chapter meetings during the year.
- Participating in either the Haunted Forest or the One-Day Service Project.
- Participating in one of the Lodge’s Camp Promotions displays at the Webelos Jamboree, Scout Show, Lincoln-Marti Camporee or Scoutmaster’s Camporee.
- Serving actively in your troop (at the Scoutmaster’s discretion).
You have one year from the date of your induction to fulfill the five requirements. You should have received an Exceptional First Year Arrowman Award Card. Keep track of all the requirements and obtain the proper signatures on that card. After completing the card, it must be turned in to the Lodge First Vice-Chief. The recipients of the award receive a nice certificate and is only given to those brothers that received the award. Any questions should be directed to your chapter chief.
